Life has been so busy lately! It’s craziness. We have a friend moving to Mexico and are helping her pack up her house, we’re constantly being invited out, and have all this work at the house to do…
I had my art show Saturday night and got to see some dear friends – sold a little crochet and had a great time. The sweet baby is still really enjoying going out and meeting people so that, at least, isn’t tough.
Another new hat went up on Etsy today:
And a new painting
Dragon Flower
Acrylic on Plywood
About 23″xabout 12″
The edges are uneven because it’s salvage wood. I like painting on interesting surfaces and I mount a couple pieces of wood on the back so it stands out from the wall a bit when hung. This way you get this cool shadow behind the piece and don’t have to have a frame.
Well… Tiny is looking for my attention so I have to run again. Hopefully I’ll have more time at home to catch up with you guys soon! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer as much as we are!
Onward and upward

excellent hat, and wonderful painting. I like that you used salvaged wood!
love the hat. love the painting. love that you are busy and happy.
wonderful : )
It makes me happy when you pop in, I love watching little snippets of your life. Beautiful pieces!
It’s a busy time of year for everyone I think….I love your hat, you look adorable in it! But what I really like is the concrete counter tops you spoke of recently… did you have it done or did you do it yourselves?
Lovely as always.
Curious though, will we ever see pics of the husband?
Neat idea about the wood and it’s nice that you had a great time at the show.
Beautiful, you are such a talented lady

@nov_way - I really don’t like painting on canvas much. Wood just seems more real and good to me
@TakingMeOn - Thank you
Baby???? You had a baby???? Good Grief! I didn’t think I’d been MIA that long but apparently I had. Huge congratulations. I can’t even comment on this post I’m so excited about the news! Peace
@oceanstarr - I hear you, when the warm weather hits, I am mostly outside.
It seems you are now in a hat phase! Will you be making crochet socks for Tiny too?
@shellisland - lol
Thanks. I snuck her into my schedule
@chamchikimbap - It’s pretty hot so she’s sock free. I’m about to get into something else before I ruin my wrist again. Knitting and celtic knot tying seem to be next on the slate.
