Sad to hear…
It makes me sad to hear xanga is shutting down. I have made so many real friends through xanga and I can hardly imagine what life will be like with it gone…
I don’t have much time to type with the little one these days. She’s 14 months, getting teeth and getting mobile.
I just hung a big art show at the Tomato Head in Knoxville and am looking to be in a gallery in Gatlinburg in 2-4 weeks. Things are going well in general… Still hoping I can have air conditioning in the house this summer, but not sure I’ll sell enough paintings to make it happen. It’s getting hot fast…
Ah well…
The reason I came by was to make sure whomever wants to can find me outside xanga
I’m on facebook under
Starr Cline
and
Ocean Starr Cline – fan page for the art.
I’m also at
oceanstarr@gmail.com and I do google+ periodicallyGotta chase a baby now.
Thank you all for your friendship and love over the years… So sad to see you go xanga.
Edit: Added picture of Seren and HER first painting. She has declared it finished and won’t work on it any more. I did some of the color picking, but the vast majority of the painting task was completed by herShe makes me so proud lol…

Likewise ♥ I’ll look you up on fb. Have already hooked up with my other close Xanga friends there, & want to include you as well. Besides, how else am I gonna still be able to buy your pretties
hey starr. it’s very sad that xanga is leaving…i too have met some very dear friends here. some closer than in real life in a way. glad we’re fbk buddies and i hope to purchase some of your art in the future…finally got my retirement coming in and that’s a great relief. my email is leneen@sbcglobal.net if you need to ever email. have enjoyed your art over the years, and some of your blogs have kept me *questionably* sane over the years, ha. every once in a while. always with the positive. thank you for being such a good friend. i have “walking by, looking in” hanging over my fireplace here. always look at the *yellow* in that and it makes me happy. love you, ocean starr.
I will especially miss you. You’ve brought so much light into my life and I will miss the ‘oh, she posted!’ feelings. I’ll find you (not a threat!).
Dang it. That kid does better work than me. I love her brush work, so open and free, uninhibited and non pretentious. Next time though I might suggest that she focuses on the geometry of her composition and makes better use of the golden ratios. Here is a great link for her to look at… http://www.dartmouth.edu/~matc/math5.geometry/unit1/INTRO.html
This is very sad, but it isn’t goodbye. I truly value your friendship and I don’t plan to throw it away……………..any way there’s still Burning Man in the future………

She’s so perfect! I’ll miss you too and glad I know you on facebook. A guy from my church asked how I know you on facebook and I told him we’ve been blogging buddies for over a decade and I own some of your work. Small world, my friend
