One Whole Year
So I have officially kept my daughter alive a whole year now! I could write all those things about how time flies and they grow so quick, but those of you who have raised your own already know that better than I and those who haven’t just hear the cliche lol… So I’ll give you a couple photos of happy baby.
She likes hanging out at the easel.
And she’s learning about presents. I don’t really celebrate birthdays or anything, but I couldn’t stop her grandmother from playing the game with her. They enjoy each other immensely.
In other news, we’re starting baby plants for spring now. Husband cut some beer bottles off at the neck, turned the top upside down and ran a wick through to the base of the bottle for a water reservoir. That way we have reusable starter containers that already fit in a nice piece of cardboard to rack neatly on the shelf. It’s pretty cool really.
And a new painting: Shrodinger’s Frog
Is the frog in the grass alive or dead? Both. The next frame exists only in the viewer’s mind. I live in a town full of physicists. Forgive my dorkitude hehehe…

As for the frog: I’m so glad you mentioned it or else I wouldn’t have noticed him in the first place. Great painting!

Happy birthday to sweet baby. May she continue to bring everyone more happiness and love. Her little moc shoes are adorable, and the painting is simply awesome.

I’m glad you kept her alive, and that she loves the painting. it’s wonderful that you include her in your work – perhaps the best gift she could ever have.

Happy Birthday to your little one and I had to laugh at the Schrodinger reference. I (don’t) try hard to avoid it, but…
What a beautiful baby you have! Such a blessing!
WOW, just wow….I see the joy in the eyes of your lovely daughter and I imagine yours are filled with the same look of love. I just returned from a visit with my youngest (30) in AZ. She is a big piece of the joy in my life.
awww hes so cute :* :* Happy Birthday to little baby from Online Jackets
That bird looks remarkably similar to your daughter: similar happy expression, similar red hair…
Such joy!!!!!! Agree with many of the other comments – so much beauty on this page. I admire your life.
Such a cutie!
Happy Birthday to her!
Happy Birthday! She is beautiful!
Congrats on keeping the species alive
That painting is a true work of art, you are better than AloysiusSon.
Ahhhhhh she is SO CAYUTE!!! Happy birthday to Seren!!
Love love love! I’m not a parent and don’t have plans to become one (though last night I lay in bed and thought – if I got pregnant I could probably handle it right now), but I’m more and more sympathetic to the cliches. I see myself sharing pictures of my niece and nephew and knowing that my love for them is only a fraction of what my siblings and parents feel for the little ones. S is sooooo beautiful, too. Her joy is contagious!
Your sweet baby looks so happy. Congratulations on her birthday.
I love that painting. I liked it when I saw it in the first clip behind your daughter on the easel, but when I read what you titled it, it went up a notch higher. I am a nerd too, so big thumbs up for that.
