Grand Opening Party
I just have a couple minutes to type before I have to go grab the little one, but I wanted to share a couple photos while I have a bit of time.
Last night was the Grand Opening at Artifactia. Seren hasn’t really liked going out in the evenings since winter shortened our days, but last night she did very well in spite of her tiredness. It was even warm enough for her to wear a cute little party dress… too warm, however, for me to wear one of the wool scarves I’ve just made. Maybe it’ll get cool enough to use them… <insert repetitive global warming debate here>

We were captured in our funness.
At the shop, I have about 18 paintings, including five from the Stained Glass Collection. Here’s another piece which hasn’t gone to the shop yet – brand new.
Butterfly Watches Fire
Acrylic on wood
16″x7″The Stained Glass Collection is about to be over. I don’t know if I’ll be going in an altogether new direction again or just changing the way I do this kind of a thing, but the change has hit me already. I started a stained glass piece with pink dogwood blossoms and now I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish it as is…
Change change change.
Lovely
Be blessed
Onward and upward

I see you’re keeping busy. Painting, you and baby look wonderful. She’s growing too!
I enjoy seeing your work changing as you grow as an artist. Artifactia looks like quite an interesting place. Congrats to them for the opening, and to you had kiddo for such fun times shared.
Friday I believed in Global Warming (as I did all summer), as it was in the 60′s; but freezing rain last night put a bit of doubt in my mind.
Seren (and her mom) looks adorable in her party dress. I hope this gallery is a huge success. :)
Love the picture of you and Seren!
Yeah, winter’s been weird here too. We had a snow storm a couple of weeks ago that broke records and this week, it’s warm enough that most of all our ice and snow has melted… It’s a bummer because outdoor sports enthusiast can’t enjoy their activities. Hopefully, it’ll get cold again!
hi,
thank you for showing your paintings, which are very impressive. I think, the Grand Opening @ the Artifactia should have been an interesting event. I had a look @ http://www.facebook.com/Artifactia, to do a … sight seeing tour … and btw found out, that it took place in Knoxville, the place where all the gold is burried. So, these works @ the exhibition might be much more worth seeing than all the gold in the fort
Cheers, Michel
Seren is growing so fast! I love to see you so happy… but that’s really been most of the time since we ended our last relationships.
@armnatmom - Yes – she’s big and wonderful
I’m always happiest when I’m busy.
@plantinthewindow - Thank you. I think more dogwoods have to happen now. I’m just happily bumbling along
@A_Different_Route - Yeah… global warming… I’ve talked to too many professionals in relevant fields to feel like debating any more. I don’t think humans play much role in it, but I’m all for cleaning up our environment so whatever… I live as clean as I can manage anyway so I just try to roll with the punches.
We sure did have a great time at that party. It was nice that it was warm enough for us to have a good time. Cold rain just isn’t much fun for anybody.
@chamchikimbap - The weather sure has been interesting for the last couple years. We didn’t get much winter last year either, but not much I can do about any of it lol… I recycle!
@michelmthomas - Yes – of course you can feel free to connect with me on Facebook if you are interested in seeing more of the paintings. My art is always on my Ocean Starr Cline page there…
Fort Knox – where the gold is said to be – is in Kentucky actually… but this is a beautiful place to live. We have beautiful lakes and rivers, small mountains and beautiful weather.
@BoureeMusique - Indeed. Cheers to change eh?
I love the photo of you, the baby, and your painting. Yes, interesting weather. Tennessee has 2 seasons, summer and winter and they alternate days within the same week.
@LGailGarrett - Things are going great with the baby
It is wonderful watching her grow. She’s much more tolerant of the weather than I am I guess.
You are so beautiful, this portrait is stunning, it captures the joy in you.
Gorgeous Madonna.
