Success!
So yesterday, Seren and I went to the gallery to hang my show for Friday. We got most of the work done. It felt like a great success because I had some heavy paintings and a little baby and bad parking options… But I used a baby carrier and got a little help from a friend on site so it all went pretty smoothly. I still have a bit of work to do before Friday, but it’s looking good so far.
To celebrate, I painted something that I just like for me…
I broke the second line, but it’s a haiku still…I like this painting. It makes me happy.
And this – one of my old personal favorites that I’ve never shared publicly before. It’s all pen and ink – little dots. These take ages to do and are hard on the wrist, but when I was pulling out the old masks (done in the same style), I found this and loved it again. 8″x10″ on watercolor paper
And a detail of the eggtreeI’ve spent too much time self-censoring and didn’t even realize I was doing it until this morning. I love moments like that…
Onward and upward

It was so nice to see you again grace my page I came along to, smile some more as that painting elicits such
Ooooh… I likes. And I’m thinking that the flower part would look great as one of the magnets… HINT, HINT, HINT!!!
i likes it too, it’s got energy.
That’s a nice cheerful painting. The flower is more abstract than is usual for you, but very charming.
Great work lately! I like the scarf belt and the girl with yellow balloons. Good to see you so prolific. You and Seren exude a happy serenity.
crazy insane about this one. love the popping reddish to this.
good luck at the show friday!!
@starmanjones - For whatever reason, when I get to my subs feed, I don’t often bump into you. My time has been a little tighter since the baby came along, but I’ll make more effort to come visit you more often!
@armnatmom - Hmmm… It’s been a while since I made magnets. Good idea.
@complicatedlight - Thank you. I usually restrain myself from making stuff like this… Thinking maybe I’ll let my zen freak flag fly for a bit.
@Roadkill_Spatula - Thank you. I’m letting loose of some constraints for a bit I think
@BoureeMusique - I thought of you a bit when I did the last little girl painting. Life is very good these days indeed. We have mostly lovely days.
@be_the_rain - Thank you! I’ve been restraining myself from making work like this because I don’t anticipate people enjoying it… I just pulled out a pen and ink from my folder that I’ve never shared for that reason… just put it on fb. It’s a good time for making work that is more deeply meaningful to me – even if the “likes” aren’t as high.
@oceanstarr - you’ll eat good or at least get hungry, bounce around the world or that of ideas
I get pretty pictures here
lovely I love stipple drawings. and the first one is a special one, indeed.
That is a lovely painting — and I love the b/w.
i love the haiku flower. love.
and the egg tree is fabulous too.
i wish driving to see your show was any kind of option.
I love these, they are beautiful
Exciting stuff, and such talent!
WOW. Your work is exceptional. Those dot things are amazing. I’m glad the hanging went smoothly.
@starmanjones - I’m glad you enjoy the pictures
I like food and ideas!

@plantinthewindow - Thank you muchly
@slmret - Thank you very much
@promisesunshine - I am such a dork. When I saw your comment, the first thing I did was check to see if it was a haiku! I wish you could come to the show too… One day I should be on the road with my work. Maybe I’ll get close enough some time
@MrTrololo - @theKisSilent - @ordinarybutloud - Thank you very much
I liked and enjoyed the flower with its haiku – an olde worlde cabin or chalet with solitary flower..neat!
The Egg is very surreal – with a nice view just sitting there in the window
